PostSubject: SITIO POOLS   Wed Mar 09, 2011 7:25 am

DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING REGARDING THE POOLS IN SITIO. I HAVE HEARD VARIOUS STORIES AND IME STILL UNSURE AS TO THE CORRECT OUTCOME. I UNDERSTAND THERE ARE SOME LEGAL PROBLEMS AND CERTAIN CRITERIA WE HAVE TO MEET BUT I NEED TO KNOW, WILL THE POOLS BE OK TO USE THIS SUMMER. I HAVE QUITE A FEW TRIPS TO SITIO PLANNED FOR THIS YEAR BUT I WONT BRING MY CHILDREN TO SITIO IF THEY CANT SWIM. OBVIOUSLY I NEED TO KNOW SO I CAN LOOK AT BOOKING ALTERNATIVE HOLIDAYS.
IF ANYONE CAN SHED ANY LIGHT ON THIS PLEASE HELP.
THANK YOU IN ANTICIPATION. GARY AND JACKIE LAW.

Hi Gary
We are all waiting to have that answered right now. The President and reps are working overtime to resolve the problem and has published a letter on the OFFICIAL Sitio website www.sitiodelgolf.es..
As far as we are aware she is waiting for a quotation for a temporary resolution that will enable the pools to stay open this summer pending a complete resolution as soon as adequate funds are available.
We all have our fingers x'd she is successful and know she is every bit as concerned and worried as we are.
If either Ken or I have further information will will post it on here immediately since we are all keen to have the pools open asap.

Hi Chris. Hope all is well with you and the missus. Where we gonna sit this year at night with your lights if the pools are shut.
On a serious note, are you saying that the pools are closed now. and if so are they likely to remain closed for the foreseable future. Is this because there is a massive debt outstanding as people are not paying community charge?
Hope you can answer the above. cheers. gary.

Hi Gary
I guess there is nothing in the rules about having an inflatable paddling pool to sit in...LOL
As far as I know they are not closed right now and the filters are running but its too bleedin chilly for a dip yet.
Nobody has been told they are closed and they are only 'officially' open during the season when the lifeguards are present.
A major factor in resolving the problems certainly IS the outstanding fees. If it were not for those and the weakness of the bank balance
I have no doubt the pool problems would be on their way to be fixed permanently already. We have a good President and team who
are doing their best. What nobody was prepared to do at the AGM was agree to an extra fee for the pools. I guess thats not surprising since
there would be still a large number who would not pay that either.
I am optomistic that this will be solved in the short term at any rate so will have the lights ready....lol
Ken or I will let you know as soon as we have any more info and hope we see you when the sun comes out again..>!
Cheers

Good morning, there are things that we need to wait for before anyone can say whats going to happen and what in not going to happen, when the minutes are posted on the web, you will all see how it was left at the end of the meeting, and we do have to be patient and wait for the surveyors report, once the President has this report she will call a meeting, this meeting will be very very important, you will see only about 6 or 7 of the agenda managed to get discussed after a five and a half hour session., so what the owners have to do it ether turn up and have the say, or give proxy votes so that someone can vote for them, and do give the person that you have given your vote to, your opinion, it will make all the difference if people join in and not just leave it to others, then complain about the outcome, do please voice your opinions, that is what Chris and i have opened this forum for,P.S
Gary ,ha ha i have bought six more boxes of lights to replace the ones that got water logged, ha ha, if the pools are closed, do you want to buy some cheap to float in your bath, lol all the best to your little gang,

Let just hope on Friday we can acheive some sort of agreement, and not waste time , i only wish we had a powerfull chair person, that would stop these people just babbling on about uninportant issues, we had one last time that just liked the sound of his own voice,,we must get on with the meeting, people have stopped bothering to fly over just to waste time with these people,
