Sitio Pools Open to the General Public?? Empty
PostSubject: Sitio Pools Open to the General Public??   Sitio Pools Open to the General Public?? I_icon_minitimeSat Jul 02, 2011 5:04 am

Now that we're well into the sun and swim season, I have noticed a real upsurge in non-residents using the pools. They come in mainly at the gate entrance for Block 4 and many are women with young children.
I know this is a tricky topic, because we all have guests staying with us from time to time and of course they should be able to use the pool area. However, owners who regularly bring in 5 or 6 friends plus their offspring who live locally and are not staying as guests in the owners' apartments, I think constitutes an abuse.
Why should residents have to put up with lots of people from outside the community who are making full use of the garden and its facilities? I know it's difficult to control this new influx, but there must be something that can be done without incurring too much expense.

This is not good, i think some how the committee should have surprise Marshall,s and ask to see apartment key's if not produced then ask them to leave, if they but up a argument then call the security that we pay for,if this is to continue, we might just as well cash in on it and sell tickets at the gate, it seems unbelievable that some owners on here must be giving out key;s to these illegal bathers,

hi this was posted to me and the President, at the moment Toni is having trouble posting on this forum,??
i am owner of block 4 apartment 2, i was on holiday till Sunday and was surprised of the amount of non residents and not holiday guests, using the pool also some of these people had keys, not only is this a security issue but also is a problem for our owners and guests that pay for the pools, and as we now are restricted to one pool also becomes very uncomfortable, also we had a childrens party, who is responsible if a child has a problem while on our land,i was told the party's have become a regular feature.
could we not erect signs around the gates saying private and carry out random checks on outside people using our pools for free.maybe get ids for all the committee members so they can show to these people.security of our community is paramount.and the safety of everyone.

kindest regards

I think Tony makes alot of sense! There should be RESIDENTS ONLY signs at the gates and pools.

Hi there, more pool comments
We are the owners of an apartment on block 2 and have just returned to the UK after a 3 week stay at Sitio and would totally agree that something needs to be done about all these seemingly illegal users of the one pool that we now all have to use. We found it very uncomfortable at times when trying to have a nice peaceful sit and swim in the pool to be annoyed by the noise level of these Spanish parties that seemed to be going on. From our front terrace that overlooks the road we can see them coming in and out of the entrance between blocks 2 and 3, throwing their rubbish on to the path opposite ( because the bin that used to be there has gone ? ) then getting into their cars and driving off, on one occasion I called to a rubbish thrower and was greeted by foul language and the finger before she drove off.
I agree that to totally eliminate this problem would be difficult but unless something is done soon the next couple of months will become a nightmare for the residents, I tend to agree that the best solution would be some sort of spot checks by someone who would need to speak Spanish and accompanied by security. It is also worth pointing out that the new fencing has been erected and all credit to the gardeners on the job done, however we are concerned that it is already turning into a washing line !
