It's that time of year when we all have to be on the lookout for members of the burgling fraternity! Over the past weekend, both apartments above ours in block 3 were broken into. Doors and shutters were broken on the street side bedrooms, but as far as we can tell, nothing was stolen. We think they were looking for cash and small items to sell on. However, we can't be sure as both apartments weren't lived in. The burglars gained entry by climbing down from the stairwell just above the first floor balconies. It would seem that these first floor apartments are especially vulnerable to thieves, so watch out everyone!
Also, one thief was spotted by a couple in block 5. He took a chair and started to climb up to the first floor of an apartment in block 2 from inside the garden! Our heroic owner ran over and gave chase but he got away. Security was called and when our intrepid hero and the security guys went onto the street (C/Belgica) the thief was again seen sitting on one of the benches opposite block 1. As they approached, the man ran off - never to be seen again.
Just a thought, but one or two of those strangers invading the pools at the moment could also be scouting for possible empty apartments 'rife for the taking' - call me cynical.........................!

Call you cynical, no way, thank you very much for spreading the word, we must all care about each other, if we all just worried about or selves, then these people win, like you say about people around the pool may be looking for someones vulnerability, when we lived on block one, a couple us to turn up every evening and lay on the grass at one of the large pools,Fay said i think these people are thieves watching for where they could get in to the apartments,no Say's i you what to much television,WRONG, we then had a spat of holiday makers getting robbed, so let us all keep our eyes open, and well done to the chap that gave chase, but these are desperate people so don't be a hurt hero

This is a serious new development and I believe re enforces the points made previously regarding the urgent security arrangements surrounding access to the pools.
