| Does anyone know what is happening with the small pools in front of block 4. My wife is out at the moment and i bring my daughter out on Wednesday, Apparently, the small pools which were immaculate last week are now green and closed. The big pools near the Tamisa are open but no fence, what is going on??? Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers. Gary | |

| The sitio website news informs us This weekend a pipe in small pools broke, causing the engine room to get flooded yesterday. Maintenance proceeded to remove the water helped by a pump and now pools are closed. We have asked for a visit of the insurance company and an electrician, to assess if pumps can be repaired and to confirm whether the electrical system can be fixed. As soon as we have more information we will inform of the date of reopening.
As soon as we seem to have pools working, they are broken again.
How much money can we keep on spending on them. !!! | |

| HI , i was talking with Ariel last night, by the way he is the head gardener, and the repairs to the pools out side blocks 3.4.and 5 have been done, so with a bit of luck the pools should be open again this Wednesday17Th August, lets keep our fingers crossed, DOGS?? because the fence at the bottom of block4 has been removed, which leaves a little grass area, so god knows where all these dog Walker's have come from ,but you can not believe the amount that walk the dogs down to this little bit of grass?? not all carry a bag to take the dogs waste with them, and for some reason, which i hope is not personal, all the dog dogs, wee up my wall and hedge,ha ha well it's not funny really,so i would like to ask the gardeners ,WHY was the fence removed?? and could we have it put back please, its bad out on the complex with the smell of cats, so we do not need the dog smell in this little road, i really do not understand why, when there is a nice walk way by the river??i think we need our Chris again with his camera,to post the pictures of the ones that don't take the dogs crap with them. | |

| Hi folks, it still would be nice to restart the diagonol parking outside blocks 1 2 and 3. We do not always need to put our cars in the garage but spaces outside our apartments are taken by people from blocks 4 and 5 who then walk through the garden. Come on see some sense, we would get far more cars parked like before and the dustbin men no longer use this side of the road. We did try to bring this up at the last meeting but as usual our hands were invisible when we put them up .

| Just to let non-resident folks know - they have now errected the fencing around the large pool and are installing the gates for all of the pools. I'm not sure what arrangements are being made regarding locks etc but hope they are not intended as we all know that will cause some concerns for those who wish to use the pools at their own risk(despite the water temperature). I will keep you posted with information as it becomes available. | |

| I think the fence looks better than we thought and if it saves us that ridiculous amount of money to pay the sleeping life guards, thats great. Why don't we fill in the large frog pool on the right and make it a garden feature. I am sure we could buy some soil off the golf course as they are closing Largos and re-planning it. We have been on block 3 since nearly day one and we are fed up with paying out money and seeing nothing, I am afraid any more requests for cash and we will also become debters, we just cannot afford to keep handing it over with the euro as it is. | |

| Hi caroline. Totally agree with the idea of filling pool in. Obviously its not quite as simple as that but it can and should be done. It would save a lot of money year on year and we would still be left with enough pools. | |

| Regarding filling in the large pool on the right, I would be very unhappy if this was done as we were the first people to move into the complex in l990 in phase 1. We have seen and put up with the building of phase 2 and beyond and the 2 large pools were one of the things that made us buy. I agree we cannot keep putting our hands in our pockets but if something was done with the NON PAYERS then it wouldn't be so bad for everyone else. Also it worked well this year with no lifeguards, can we not keep this going and for once be responsible for our own children, grandchildren, when they are in the pool. Surely parents and grandparents are more concerned for the children than these l7/l8 year olds who are supposed to be life guards but who I have seen reading, it only takes a second for an accident to happen so surely they should be concertrating all the time on the pools. | |

| All in all there are cases to be made for both resolutions to the issue. Certainly owners paying for the repairs as well as the licence, guards and water is no cheap one. However the cost of filling in the pool would probably be as much anyway and there would still have to be the licence and the guards for the other pool. - the only difference would be the water supply and the saving there as against the loss of what is really a nice pool would be negligiable as long as the leakages are stopped. While neither 'Our Ken' nor I have been owners I know Kens view would have been to keep the pool if the costs balance out since he lived that end for quite a time and loved both pools being used by friends and family alike. This year has been a quiet one due to the economic situation but that wont last forever and the only working pool at the Tamisa end was still quite crowded but mostly with children due to its nature - if the other pool is repaired and restored I have no doubt it will get plenty of use when things improve and for those who let their apartments will be highly prised an asset. In the end it will come down to the decision of the owners and their votes. | |

| Hi Jenny, I do for the most part agree with what you say regarding the large pool. it would be a shame to lose it as like you and most owners, the pools were a deciding factor to our purchase of these apartments. It still leaves us with the problem of cash. We cannot go on paying out as the upkeep of the property is getting too much for most of us ' non renters '. The euro does not seem to be improving so even if we did try to sell we could'nt. I am glad people are now realising that as with other area's we are better leaving fencing and saving money, letting parents look after their children as they should. | |
